Usally everyone plays maps where thier is only 1 way in your base if so... Make a nexus blocking the path to your base. (this will give you extra time if you get attacked beacuse nexuses take a while to destroy) Make a good ammout of cannons right in back of them. If you get attack by many gound units you can just disruption web right in front of your nexus and the enemy's units wont attack, and your cannons will pick them off one by one. The only units this wont work against are tanks and any air unit, but it is still a great land defence.
